Parker McCrary
Parker obtained his B.S. in Chemistry with a minor in Biology from The University of Alabama in 2010. Currently, Parker is pursuing his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry as a second year graduate student under the direction of Prof. Robin D. Rogers and funded by the Department of Defense under the National Defense, Science, and Engineering Graduate Fellowship. His dissertation research focuses on developing environmentally friendly, safe, and effective liquid rocket fuels. In his spare time, Parker enjoys watching Alabama Crimson Tide football, traveling, and exercising.
Nikki DeLuca
Nikki is a junior Chemistry major at York College of PA with a minor in Sustainability and Environmental Studies. She attended N.C. State University her freshman year studying Meteorology and Marine Science. She was a representative for the student chapter of the American Meteorological Society at N.C. State, and is currently a member of the YCP Chemistry Society and the York Environmental Society. She has assisted with a water quality research project and plans to pursue atmospheric chemistry research upon graduating in 2014. Her interests include riding horses, recreational kayaking, and traveling.
MARLA BIANCA
Marla is a senior Chemistry and Environmental Science double major at Moravian College. She is the President of the Moravian College’s ACS chapter and a member of ECO, the Environmental Coalition and Sustainability Committee. She has had an internship with Berks Solar, learning about and installing solar arrays. Also, she had the opportunity to take part in a SOAR (Student Opportunities for Academic Research) project at Moravian College, in which she determined the heavy metal uptake of the plants in the Lehigh Gap Wildlife Refuge remediation areas and analyzed the biochemical, ecological, and management consequences. She is currently continuing this line of research in the form of an Honors project under the supervision of Dr. Husic. In her rare expeditions away from the lab, she enjoys hiking, pyrography, and reading.
John Siller
John Siller is a senior at York College of Pennsylvania. He is majoring in chemistry with a minor in mathematics. Originally from Clinton, N.J. John has a thirst for knowledge and is always interested in learning new things. He is currently studying the theoretical modeling of solvent effects on Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy as well as a number of other topics. As well as learning John enjoys playing video games and watching sports.
